DALL-E was OpenAI's text-to-image model, integrated into ChatGPT, that generated images from detailed natural-language prompts. Discontinued: DALL-E 2 and 3 were removed from the OpenAI API on 12 May 2026 and the DALL-E GPT was retired from ChatGPT on 30 August 2026; ChatGPT Images is the successor.
